Hello Everyone! If you have found that you have arrived to this page by means of browsing, to peek your curiosity, or even through facebook stalking me I applaud your willingness to give it a try. It's been a very long time since I've been in the blogging game, but better late than never I suppose. First let me begin by telling you a little about myself.... My name is Kyle McKinley, I have lived in Austin Texas my entire life, I love outdoorsy things (hiking, climbing, running, etc...), I am convinced that the friends in my life are far better than I deserve and simply put: I am absolutely, passionately, ravishedly, and fervently in love with God. Now if you're reading this and the last part of that statement bothered you, it is my firm belief hope that you have the ability to reap more from this blog than anyone else. Although for those of you who are all for that statement it is my hope that you are fueled even further, and fall deeper in love with Him through the testimonies of his power!
The idea to actually blog at all came from a dear friend of mine whom I told that i really needed to start blogging again. The actual topic and purpose of this blog was a "brain baby" I had when I was talking to my best friend about putting two white boards in our apartment; one reading "needs" and the other reading "met". The idea is that every time we had a need we would write it down on the "needs" board and whenever we saw it we would pray for those needs and claim them as promises of God. And whenever God would meet those needs, we would put them on the "met" board as a daily reminder and visible testimony of God's ACTIVE goodness and love in our lives. So I thought to myself, "Self, I should blog about the incredible things that God has done in my life, and show everyone how His love works first hand!" Needless to say the idea has put me in a fit of glee, and I am so very glad to finally get this started. To be more clear: The purpose of this blog is to post, on a consistent basis, instances in which the goodness and love of God are abounding based off of the things I both witness and experience, and in turn show how real His love really is. Now you might be thinking to yourself: Oh here we go again, another crazy Christian who convinces themselves that every little thing that happens is a miracle from God. Not so I tell you! Most assuredly I will post about the "little" things as well because they are just as important, but I expect the wall of this blog will be full of things that are far beyond the realm of coincidence as well! Because I feel so strongly that the idea to write about this is inspired by God, I can't help but be overwhelmingly excited about what God is going to do, as well tell everyone what He has already done! Everything from, "I was able to pay my rent this month," to, "God restored a missing limb!" will be posted here, and it will all be a testimony that no matter how big or how small the needs of his children are, He will always show us how he loves us more....
